Annual Awards Banquet
Date: Late February/early March
Description: District function-catered dinner, includes firefighters, staff, life members, honorary members, board members. Awards given: Firefighter of the Year, EMS Responder of the Year, Officer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Intern of the Year, Most Improved.
 
Sublimity Fire District Public Safety Fair
Date: 1st Saturday in June
Description: Community event. Public safety organizations (e.g. Santiam Ambulance, Marion County Search & Rescue, LifeFlight, Stayton Police Department, Red Cross, etc.) greet visitors and share information about their organizations. The fire district gives out free hot dogs, chips and drinks and opens its doors to welcome the public to come tour the station. There are safety-related presentations and activities for kids.
Cowboy Breakfast
Date: Saturday AND Sunday in conjuction w/Santiam Canyon Stampede (late July/early August)
Description: Volunteer Firefighters Association fundraiser/community event. Firefighters and helpers serve pancakes, ham, eggs, orange juice, milk and coffee in the apparatus bays at the main station.
 
Halloween Open House
Date: October 31st, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Description: Community event. Fire station open to the public for warmth and treats. Cider, cocoa, coffee, candy and reflective trick-or-treat bags given away. Family movie playing. Public has the opportunity to warm up and to check out the apparatus, equipment and firefighters.
 
Turkey Shoot Bingo
Date: Sunday before Thanksgiving
Description: Volunteer Firefighters Association fundraiser/community event. Participants play BINGO. Turkeys given away as prizes. Raffles for cash.
 
Holiday Potluck
Date: First Thursday in December
Description: District function. Potluck at the fire station. Main dish/table settings provided.
Christmas Tree Lighting/Candy Cane Day
Date: First Saturday in December
Description: Community event. Firefighters canvas the town of Sublimity handing out free candy canes. Santa lights the Sublimity community Christmas tree in the fire district parking lot. Refreshments and cookies at the station. Santa on hand for pictures (bring your own camera).
Gift of Christmas Dinner/Toys for Joy
Date: Thursday before Christmas
Description: Community service. Firefighters collect food and donations for traditional Christmas dinner baskets to be distributed to those less fortunate in the Sublimity and Stayton communities. Baskets are put together by community volunteers and fire personnel. They are distributed on fire apparatus. Toys collected are distributed through Stayton Fire District's Toys for Joy program.
