Being a Resident Volunteer firefighter is a great way to get life experience that can be allied in a career department, and learn life skills that you can put on resume. An individual that is accepted into Sublimity's student resident program is a regular volunteer that is studying for a degree an emergency service degree (fire suppression, fire prevention paramedic) and resides at the station. Requirements

  • Must be over 18 years of age

  • Have valid Oregon drivers license

  • Have no record of criminal background

  • Enrolled as a full time student (12 credit minimum)

  • Maintain fire station as primary residence

  • Be in good health 

  • Pass drug test and doctors physical
